Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, marking the start of a three-day trip during which he is expected to meet with regional leaders. “The visit will be an important event in the development of strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries,” a spokesperson from Kyrgyzstan’s presidential administration told the Interfax news agency ahead of Putin’s arrival.
